What is card grading?

Card grading involves evaluating the condition and authenticity of a trading card. Professional grading companies assess factors like centering, corners, edges, and surface to assign a grade, typically on a 1-10 scale. The graded card is then encapsulated in a protective holder. 

Why should I have my cards graded?

Grading enhances the value and marketability of your cards by providing an unbiased assessment of their condition. It also offers protection through encapsulation and assures potential buyers of the card's authenticity and quality. 

Which grading companies do you work with?

We facilitate submissions to PSA, SGC, BGS, and CGA, all reputable grading companies in the industry. 

Submission Process

How do I submit my cards for grading?

To submit your cards, visit our Submit Cards page, select the desired grading service, and follow the provided instructions for packaging and shipping. 

What types of cards can I submit?

You can submit most sports and non-sports trading or gaming cards. If you're unsure about a specific card, please contact us for clarification. 

Is there a minimum number of cards required per submission?

No, there is no minimum requirement. You can submit a single card or multiple cards based on your preference. GameStop

How should I package my cards for submission?

Place each card in a penny sleeve and then into a semi-rigid card holder. Use bubble wrap or similar protective material to prevent movement during transit. Ensure the package is securely sealed and consider using a tracked shipping method.

Can I drop off my cards in person?

Currently, we operate exclusively through mail submissions. Please follow the guidelines on our Submit Cards page for mailing your cards. 

Grading Process

What factors affect the grade of my card?

Grading companies assess centering, corners, edges, and surface condition. Any imperfections in these areas can impact the final grade. 

How long does the grading process take?

Turnaround times vary depending on the grading company and service level chosen. Estimated times will be provided during the submission process, but please note these are subject to change. 

Will I be notified when my cards are graded?

Yes, we will inform you once your cards have been graded and are ready for return shipping.

What happens if my card is found to be altered or counterfeit?

Grading companies will not grade cards that show evidence of tampering or questionable authenticity. Such cards will be returned ungraded.

Are there additional fees besides the grading cost?

Additional fees may include shipping, insurance, and any applicable taxes or duties. All potential charges will be outlined during the submission process.

When is payment due?

Payment is required at the time of submission to initiate the grading process.

Shipping and Returns

How are my cards returned after grading?

Graded cards are securely packaged and shipped using a tracked and insured service to ensure safe delivery. 

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we only accept submissions from within Australia and return shipments are also limited to Australian addresses.

What should I do if my returned cards are damaged or lost?

In the rare event of damage or loss during return shipping, please contact us immediately to initiate an investigation and resolve the issue.

Can I change my return shipping address after submission?

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your return address. Address changes may not be possible once the grading process has begun.

Additional Services

Do you offer card cleaning or preparation services?

We do not currently offer cleaning or preparation services. It's recommended to ensure your cards are clean and free of debris before submission.

Can I request a specific holder size for my graded cards?

Grading professionals determine the safest holder size for each card. Specific holder size requests cannot be accommodated. 

Do you provide grading for autographed cards?

Yes, autographed cards can be graded. Please ensure that the autograph is authentic, as grading companies may not grade cards with questionable signatures. 

Do you offer bulk submission discounts?

Yes, we offer discounts for bulk submissions. Please contact us directly to discuss bulk submission pricing and requirements.

Can I track the status of my submission?

Yes, we provide updates at key stages of the grading process. You will receive notifications via email regarding the status of your submission.

Are graded cards more valuable than ungraded ones?

Graded cards often have higher market value due to the verified condition and authenticity provided by professional grading.

Can I resubmit a card if I disagree with the grade received?

Yes, you can resubmit cards for re-evaluation. However, there's no guarantee that the grade will change upon resubmission.

How should I store my graded cards?

Store graded cards in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using additional protective cases for enhanced safety.

WHAT TYPE OF CARDS CAN I GET GRADED?

PSA, SGC, BGS & CGA will grade most sports and non-sports cards that are classified as regular trading or gaming cards. Unsure if your items are eligible for grading?  Get in touch with us.

Good to know

PSA, SGC & BGS will not grade cards that bear evidence of trimming, re-colouring, restoration, or any other forms of tampering, or are of questionable authenticity.
